After five years of silence, Sibille Attar is finally back with new music. Her new EP Paloma’s Hand features 6 tracks of magically alluring pop music where darkness and light meets, and it is is also the sequel to her acclaimed debut album Sleepyhead. Attar made her debut as a solo artist in 2012 with the EP The Flower’s Bed after a couple of active years in the Swedish music scene and quickly became one of Sweden’s most renowned artists.
The follow-up, her debut album Sleepyhead, arrived in February 2013 via Stranded Records to critical acclaim, gaining her a Swedish Grammy nomination, as well as attention from international publications such as Pitchfork, Stereogum and Noisey. After a year of constant touring, Sibille Attar retreated from the spotlight and has only been heard on a few collaborations since, until now.
Paloma’s Hand is the result of a long period of questioning herself, a collection of tracks that came after losing her confidence and a general disillusion of the existence of being a music maker, it it still a clear continuation of what she started with Sleepyhead. Dark yet poppy, the album is written and produced by Sibille herself (with Petter Granberg as co-producer on one track) and the definite proof that Sibille Attar is one of the most interesting musician Sweden has to offer
